Introduction:-
An OBC cell has been constituted to look into the matters of Other Backward Class students and staff of the institution as per the guidelines given by University Grants Commission. This cell is committed to ensure due compliance of the orders of reservation issued from time to time in favour of OBC from government. The college takes efforts in facilitating financial support to students from government agencies and other sources. This cell is always engaged to solve the various problems of OBC students.
Objectives:-
- To educate, enlighten and empower the students and staff of OBC categories in the college to make use of the facilities extended by the Govt. and other agencies for their educational & occupational career.
- To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the reservation policy in college and plan measures for ensuring effective implementation of the policy and programmes of the Government of India and UGC.
- To organize the Continuing Education Programmes (CEPs) for students, researches, teachers and non-teaching staff of the college to update their knowledge and skills.
- To collect data regarding the implementation of the policies in respect of admissions, appointments to teaching and non-teaching positions in the college and analyze the data showing the trends and changes towards fulfilling the required quota.
